Komazawa Olympic Park

A detail of the tower at Komazawa Olympic Park, Tokyo. Designed by Yoshinobu Ashihara and constructed for the 1964 Summer Olympics.
It is the center of electricity, gas, water, and communication in the park, and at the same time, it is a symbol of the park commemorating the Tokyo Olympic Games.  50m in height, it stands out from the other low-rise facilities. In addition, the eaves overhang on each floor, giving the impression of a modern five-storied pagoda. On the top floor of the tower, a corridor has been created and a TV camera is installed to regulate traffic at the time of the Olympic Games.
