Jesus Saves, Downtown LA

The Jesus Saves sign taken from a hallway window in the Ace Hotel, Downtown Los Angeles.

“This sign is one half of a twin pair of neon “Jesus Saves” that first went up in 1935 atop the Bible Institute of Los Angeles’ campus at 6th and Hope. The signs sat there until 1989 when they made a half mile trek east on South Hope Street to the current location.”

Osaka World Expo ’70 Park

This image is of part of the Nine Fountains at the World Expo 70 site (the theme of which was Progress and Harmony for Mankind) in Osaka. Designed by sculptor Isamu Noguchi they sit in a pool designed by one of my all time favourite architects - Kenzo Tange. When in operation the fountains appear to float above the water.

Mallee Roadhouse

The house I grew up in featured a lot of yellow glass, a 70’s thing I guess, so I am particularly drawn to any building that features it. This was captured on a road trip in the North Western region of Victoria.
