Chongnyon Hotel

Opened in 1989
30 Floors 465 Rooms

The Chongnyon, meaning ‘youth’, was built for the 13th World Festival of Youth and Students in 1989. The sport theme is evidenced by the rows of darts on the hotel’s exterior. The Chongnyon features an ornate and expansive dome under which sits an expansive marble lobby that is home to a late-night burger stand and the offices of Air China on the first floor.
