The twin towers of the Changwangsan Hotel stand before the Pyongyang Ice Rink and next to the Changgwang Health Complex. The hotel’s lobby, decorated with large chandeliers, displays an impressive portrait of the leaders of the DPRK, who are shown at the sacred site of Mt. Paekdu. Rooms at the Changwangsan feature traditional Korean floor heating and downstairs has a number of restaurants and cafes, as well as a shop, where locals can purchase daily goods and household appliances.
